The news this week is a Full Moon on Monday at 10:11 pm. A Full Moon is beautiful to see, as the Sun is on one side of the Earth to give full illumination to the Moon, which is opposite. In this case, the Sun is in Taurus and the Moon is in Scorpio. This is very powerful mystically speaking.
Taurus is earthy and the key phrase is "I have." Scorpio rules over endings, and the key phrase is "I release." Having, letting go, this month’s theme continues . . . how indeed to walk lightly upon this earth. Additionally, this Full Moon activates the 29th degree of Taurus, which is the location of the star system Pleiades.
Many ancient civilizations recognize the Pleiades as one of the star systems that seeded this earth world. This reality accentuates the spiritual potency of this Full Moon. Please give three days on either side of Monday to attune, receive and integrate higher frequencies, because they are streaming upon the planet now.
The Sun enters Gemini on Tuesday, May 20 at Noon. Venus enters Gemini on Saturday, May 24. This livens things up. Gemini is restless, ready to be outdoors, playing hooky and looking toward summer fun. But, wait, Saturn in Virgo spells out all the ways that work should take precedent. It is like being a child sitting in class looking out the window, longing for the freedom to run and play. Prone to procrastinate? Hmmmm . . . if circumstances allow, this may be the way to go.
Wednesday and Thursday are more serious days. Playful, fun-loving Gemini Sun meets heavy, deliberate Saturn. On one hand, these are days to buckle down, but don’t force the issue. Keep balance in your life, and especially side step any tendency to worry; just rely on the mind to figure things out. The mind is very active these days, and difference of opinion can lead to a stalemate.
In other words, patience, patience and more patience. If possible, sleep an extra hour, or find other ways to relax. This theme carries through to the weekend when Venus in Gemini meets Saturn in Virgo. Venus is the relationship planet. Differences in taste, opinion and point of view may come to the foreground for healing.
Sunday, May 25—Saturday, May 31
The Air signs of Gemini and Aquarius are emphasized all week. Air is communicative, sociable, restless, inventive and freedom loving. Especially interesting is Mercury station retrograde on Monday, May 26 at 11:48 am. Mercury will remain retrograde until June 19. Be aware of any significant communications that require more investigation, patience, tolerance, listening and respect.
Mercury retrograde delays outcomes. But this is generally for the good. Our human nature is to rush into things. Mercury retrograde periods slow us down to make sure forward movement is aligned with all aspects of our life. In this case, the Air element is associated with relationships. All three Mercury retrogrades of 2008 are in Air signs; thus, 2008 is a year of significant decisions in terms of people.
As Mercury appears to be moving slower then usual the last two weeks of May, it is in harmonious relationship to Neptune and Chiron. This planetary combination offers healing. Neptune and Chiron appear to be moving slower than usual as they are stationing retrograde on May 25 and 26. With three significant planets going retrograde, this is a really special time. There is a direct link with inspiration and spiritual guidance. There is a message for those with eyes to see and hear to hear. Watch for synchronicity, unusual connections, surprising changes, magical releases and relationships that turn your life around.
Keep in mind that retrograde movement implies a need for some caution, introspection and integration. So, take your time with this one. Mercury will complete its interrelationship with Neptune and Chiron the first 10 days of July. Mercury in Gemini will bring heightened consciousness to the abstract, evolved thrust of Neptune and Chiron in Aquarius. It is an uplifting phase that can bring us to higher ground in many ways.
